Right now my classroom is very limited in block building choices for my students. We only have one set of blocks for them to choose from and it is not a full set. We barely have enough blocks for more than two children to play at the same time in a classroom of twenty. These new sets of blocks will give my students the opportunity to use their imagination to create an entire neighborhood or cityscape. The cardboard blocks will be great for my younger students to stack and build with safely without the risk of the blocks falling on them. The wooden blocks will be used to imitate large structures seen in our neighborhood and city by the older students. Having a variety of building materials will really help my students continue their love of learning through play.
