I teach a dual immersion class in Spanish, which is a newer program in my district. With it being a newer program, we do not have a lot of resources yet, especially authentic literature in Spanish. We were not given any books in Spanish, we usually just teach with a textbook...which is most definitely not engaging to my students. My students need exposure and experience with real Spanish literature to help them become lifelong readers and speakers of the Spanish language. My students will benefit from this collection of books because they will learn that books are not only written in English. They will be exposed to the beautiful Spanish language through these texts and learn that it is wonderful they are learning to be bilingual. Thank you for your consideration in donating to my project and helping foster a love for reading and language.
