For most of my students, English isn't their first language and literacy is extremely important for being able to comprehend and become fluent in the future. These books will give my students access to grade level text in which they can be exposed to important literacy and gain important skills. I love being able to read to my students and with these books, I will be able to have read alouds and important conversations about topics found in our books. In today's world, STEM is becoming increasingly necessary. By prompting my students to build with Legos each morning, I would be providing them experience with STEM concepts that they will use in their futures.
