Kindergarten is the first formal exposure many children have to a classroom setting. Having an organized classroom is critical in helping these little people learn and develop good listening skills right from the start. Kindergartener’s don’t spend hours during the day sitting at their desks. They move from to desks to floor activities numerous times throughout the day. A classroom seating rug would be of great help to my classroom management by giving my little friends a clear visual place of their own when I am organizing circle time routines, brain breaks, reading aloud to my students and the whole group learning activities that often happen on the floor. A classroom rug also helps create a warm and friendly environment by giving children their very own space to sit or stand during group activities which can significantly help foster a child’s sense of belonging and being a valuable and important part of their classroom community.
