These leveled books will help to create the literacy rich classroom that I strive to create. Allowing students the opportunity to read at their independent reading level increases a student’s confidence toward reading encouraging them to take greater risks and ultimately grow. Allowing students to make choices in their reading helps to make reading more engaging and create a love for learning. In my classroom there is a large range in reading levels, having a complete leveled library will help me to service all students. All of my students are capable of success regardless of their reading level. With these books I can grow their confidence and inspire them to dream and achieve. Creating a learning environment that is engaging is even more important once when enter the classroom following covid. My students will need as many opportunities as possible to learn and interact with material. I am confident these leveled readers will help me to see even more achievement in my students.
