It is important to create a climate of warmth, inclusion, and safety for all students. It is with an area designated just for this purpose students can build a positive community, engage in academics, and instruction that works with each student's developmental strengths and needs. As a teacher it is my goal to create such a climate for my students. My students would love to have this fun and functional furniture in our classroom. The durable couch and chairs would allow students to have the opportunity to sit in groups or independently. This furniture set will allow my students to come together in a safe space for class discussions, lessons, and activities. In this space all voices are heard, all students are valued and everyone can see and be seen.
