We begin our day with a morning meeting to check in on one another and get excited for a new day of learning. We will split our time between working at our seats and finding a place around the room. For many students, being restricted at a seat is confining and they are in desperate need of space to stretch out and read or complete their work. I want my students to feel comfortable in our classroom where we spend the majority of the day, so it is decorated to feel as home-like as possible. A rug would really help complete this for us.
