I am requesting to be funded to attend a conference (Get Your Teach On). As an educator it is important for me to keep learning so that I can bring the best instructional practices back to my students and school. At this professional development I will learn the best practices to keep students engaged and active in their own learning. The practices learned at this conference will increase my students' desire to learn, increase the rigor in my classroom, change my students as learners. Overall, I plan to come out of this conference, a better teacher and have tools to prepare my students for a better future.
