The use of a classroom rug is an essential that we need as a brand new teacher. The primary reason I'd like a rug for my students is for readers workshop, it's a portion of the day where they'll read books individually or with a partner. During these workshops, they'll be allowed to have flexible seating which means they can sit on the floor or read somewhere they find comfortable. I've purchased and been given by our school the essentials I'll need for my new classroom, however a rug isn't one of them; your support would mean to most to me and benefit my students tremendously.
