The use of technology in the classroom is a privilege that my students do not often get to have. In our classroom, we only have access to one computer which is used to project information on the board. Students rarely have the opportunity to use technology on their own to reinforce and practice skills that they are learning in the classroom. The availability of two iPads will enhance students learning in all academic areas and allow them to learn beyond what a pen and paper can teach them! Students will be able to spend time practicing mathematics through games and activities that different apps have to offer. They will be able to do independent research for writing pieces. Access to academic websites and apps will allow them to reinforce and practice skills while other students have the opportunity to work in small groups with the teacher. My students deserve the opportunity to further their learning through the use of technology in the classroom.
