I work in a central Indiana community that has been hit hard by the pandemic. Most of our population was on free and reduced lunch before the pandemic, and our food banks have had such a high demand since schools have been shut down. Each year, my students love to use dry erase markers to practice their math skills. We are extremely lucky to have a 1:1 technology grant and try to not use paper, and talk a lot about how that impacts the earth in a positive way. We ask each student to bring in 10 dry erase markers each year, which is a costly school supply for most of our families. After this pandemic, the last thing I want to do is ask my students to bring in dry erase markers. I have many of the supplies needed for next year since this year was cut short, but this is something we absolutely need more of. We will put them to great use, as we use every last drop! Thanks so much for considering to donate to my project and my students.
