After 13 years of teaching, my classroom needs a fresh look. My pillows are worn out, the carpet torn and tattered, and things mismatched. I would like a fresh start to create a more colorful and cohesive classroom. With the new curriculum rolling out next year, my students will need a comfy place to gather for mini-lessons in reading and writing. Students will then work independently or by themselves around the room. I want to create fun areas with unique seating for students to work and relax. The carpet will be used for our mini lessons and independent work. The pillows will provide comfort when laying on the tile floor. The chairs will be fun seats to pull here and there. My goal is to create a bright and welcoming learning space.
