Helping my students acquire paint media will enable them to learn about the formal elements and principals of art, have more success in high school art courses, and ultimately create works they are proud of. It is so crucial for this particular age group to continue with their art education – odds are, if one does not practice art, architecture, or design in junior high, they will be significantly less likely to pursue a career or education in the arts. Inspiring my students with hands-on, painting units will help our next generation grow up confidently pursuing interests, hobbies, and careers in the arts.

About my class
