My students are 7 and 8 years old and they have a hard time sitting still in their seats for long periods of time. Students will be able to use these wobble chairs at their desks instead of the "normal" classroom seats that they are used to. Research has shown that flexible seating burns calories, helps keeps young minds more alert and focused, and oxygen flow to the brain is increased that children are in seats that allows them to wobble, rock, bounce, or lean. Students move freely throughout my room and these chairs are light and are easily able to moved from one spot to another, giving students a choice of where they want to sit.
