Mo Willems' books will continue to enhance the print-rich classroom that I strive to create. My classroom library is a place that my students really enjoy. I read to them on the carpet, they complete work there, and they read independently! Every book that is placed in my library is treated with love and care. Unfortunately, after 8 years of teaching, my books are starting to wear out. If this project is funded, students will be able to access more Mo Willems' books. All of my Mo Willems' books have been read on a daily basis since I started teaching. Pages are ripped, the binding is falling apart, etc. Although I try my best to fix my books on a daily basis (you should check out our book hospital... it's full of Mo Willems' books!), no amount of tape can put our books back together again. My students have already shown an interest in Mo Willem's books and I want them to continue their love for reading. This project will help enrich their experiences in the printed world.
