My Special Education DCD (delayed cognitive development) Middle Classroom is a wonderful place with amazing staff and students! My classroom is a very large former FACS classroom (home economics). We have great space for students to spread out (especially now during the Covid-19 pandemic), however the space is almost too large as there are no small quiet work areas. Students, especially special education students need minimal distractions so that they can do their best work. It is very hard for my students to stay focused with staff and students coming in and out of the classroom. The students that we have in our classroom are working on functional math and reading skills along with independent work skills so that they can be successful at school, at home, and in the community. These room dividers would allow for them to have quiet work spaces for students. By donating to my project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement.
