As a Title I school in the Bronx, many of my students are unable to afford the price of field trips to cultural institutions to support their learning. Many often never leave the blocks of their neighborhood. Google Expeditions will give my students a unique opportunity to explore the world at large without ever having to leave their classroom. Google Expeditions offers Virtual Reality field trips to museums and various countries throughout the globe. When students are able to see these places through their expedition headsets, it will truly bring their learning to life. The Promethean board will transform my classroom into a virtual field trip, at no cost to students. It is my firm belief that investing in a Google Expeditions kit will not only transform my teaching of the world, but my students understanding of it as well.
