Carpets help define a space in a classroom. Mine will go in front of the board where i will do most of my instruction and Morning meeting. The carpet will help students know where their boundary is on the floor and it will help them stay in their space so they can focus. When there is no carpet students often roll around and do not pay attention. When i have a carpet like the one i requested i will be able to assign seats so everyone is in a spot best to support their learning. Most of our day is spent on the carpet learning about all the different subjects or doing community building. My school was not able to purchase me a carpet, but I would still like one to help my classroom environment and community.
