With the uncertainty of what the classroom will look like from this time forward, my students will most likely be spread out around the classroom and I need 6 tablets for them to use for various projects and while working in our rotation stations. With the introduction last year of a district wide program that uses technology, it is imperative for their success that they have daily use of a tablet for practice in this program. Students will also learn special features in technology by creating media projects to record and assess their learning in literacy, visual arts and math. The tablets are not intended to replace my teaching methods, but is a tool to support my lessons and enhance student education. Exposure to technology in an educational setting is vital for my young students. Not only will it provide digital skills needed, but they are also able to receive proper training and support in how to use technology in a smart and safe way. The kid-proof case covers are needed to protect the tablets since the students will often have movement around the classroom while using them.
