Air tracks are an integral part of any physics lab. I have been teaching for 31 years and the last 17 have been in physics. I have never been able to purchase air tracks because of the cost. Air tracks can be used for the whole first semester and maybe longer. Experiments can be done for velocity, acceleration, different types of collisions, conservation of energy, and many others. Air tracks are used in college physics labs and it would be awesome for my students to have hands on experience with them. The students will greatly benefit from having this experience.
