Due to budget cuts across our district, the recess equipment we ordered for our students never came in. Our students have only been able to play on a couple of slides, swings and monkey bars. Our 75 third graders have to share this small amount of equipment - waiting in line for a chance on a swing or a slide. They work so hard every day - let’s give them a chance to play even harder!! After a long morning of schoolwork, third graders love to join in activities together. The more movement and fun they can have, the better they like it! Imagine the moment they run onto a playground with brightly colored balls, big, flexible bases, lots of jump ropes, sidewalk chalk, and sturdy hula hoops! These materials will give them a chance to get some exercise while learning to work as a team and making new friends.
