In a world that is constantly moving and adapting to new conditions, it is even more important to do the same in the classroom. Students are learning new concepts in various ways and in different environments. Classrooms today are evolving to better fit these circumstances. I believe that creating a safe, comfortable, and creative environment is one of the most important things an educator can do! Having flexible seating in a classroom can foster student learning by allowing them to move and become more focused on their tasks. Restricting kids to stationary positions can also restrict their thinking. By providing students with many seating options and opportunities for movement, they are can open up their minds to more meaningful learning.
