As my district begins to transition back into in person learning, our opportunities for field trip and out of building experiences will be nonexistent. Virtual Reality will allow me to bring real world experiences to students in a new and innovative way. For this specific project, students will explore new countries and investigate how humans have impacted the environment in countries around the world. Even in the Pre-COVID world, these types of learning experiences were unheard of. Through VR using Google Cardboard, students will now be able to have exciting first hand experiences with places they would have never had to opportunity to experiences. Virtual Reality through Google Cardboard will open the door to not only this specific project, but so many other diverse learning experiences for children.
