As a new teacher, I don't have the funds to build my classroom library. I believe this project will encourage my students to read as much as they can because they will have easier access to a variety of books. A classroom library will provide my students the opportunity to check out books in my classroom as often as they want. I know that this project will cultivate a classroom full of lively discussions revolved around reading! In addition to discussions, having a class library will help students make connections to their own lives and raise awareness for important issues.

About my class
