With your help the students in my class will be able to come into an environment suited for their wide variety of skills, motivations, and comfort levels. Students in this class will have the ability to learn to self-regulate in an environment that provides them with an initial control over their decisions. Our behavior motto is "Our Choices Matter." Through flexible seating students engage in the first steps of being in control of their learning and the decisions that they make day to day. Self-regulation is a continuous skill we work on with our students. Whether it is an on task, voice level, or emotional control, among other skills, Self-regulation is a work in progress for most of the students in our class. Flexible seating will engage students on constant self-monitoring techniques that will be taught by the adults in the classroom.
