STEM is the newest way to learn science, technology, engineering, and math. It allows the students to learn how to code and use technology to problem solve. These three STEM tools will be used within the library setting to teach students but will also be available to be checked out to teachers to use within their classrooms. This would provide learning through STEM to 300 plus students. Students are noticeably more engaged while learning with STEM tools. Students look at many of these tools as toys, but truly they are learning technology in order to get the STEM tools to work properly. The products that I have selected will help my students by giving them up to date tools which will help them be ready and successful in the world. All three of these STEM items use coding which is very important that today’s students understand because it is the way of the future! Coding is what makes it possible for us to create computer software, apps, and websites. I have seen how learning through playing with STEM tools can positively affect my students work and help them persevere and accept the challenge of problem-solving.
