Children are growing up in a much different world and education is not changing fast enough. I want to give my students a space where they feel comfortable to work and think freely, without the restrictions rows of desks imply. As an educator in middle school, it is my responsibility to prepare my students for real world interactions and the workforce. Business collaboration does not take place in rows of desks, friendships are not built by raising our hands first. My philosophy stands that the more we try to push our students into a box, the more they will explode out of the form. This classroom design will enable my students to interact with content, peers, and adults in a more positive way.

About my class
