Student tools have increased a hundredfold in the past two decades. Our classroom is in need of several learning areas. Guiding students during transitional session onto a soft learning place is essential in resetting their mindset for learning. Students favorably respond to moving away from hard desks and seats to a least restricted learning experience. The conversations on the carpet are far more participative and focused. Carpet learning and teaching is universal and is recognizable by all ages and grade levels. It is a respite, an oasis, from the classroom industrialized routine. My students eagerly await visitors that provide workshops and instruction to my students.
