My students are fifth and sixth grade students who attend an urban elementary school. They are so excited about music and are ready to just into band head first. It's amazing the enthusiasm they have for music and coming to band, even with the little resources they have. Every time the percussionists tell me how jealous they are of the instruments the wind players have, it makes me more and more eager to be able to provide them the band experience I had when I was in elementary school.
