The students who come into my classroom have a mixture of exposure to books before starting school. Some students come in ready to pick up books and read, while others need help with how a book works. By having more leveled readers in my classroom, I can help expose the children to a variety of texts. This will help them to reach their reading goals and create a strong reading and literacy foundation for the rest of their education to be built upon. By helping our classroom with the purchase of these books, the children will know that books and reading are something to be treasured and important for the rest of their lives.

About my class
