I would like to provide seating choices for my students. We expect students to be able to sit and learn for long periods of time in today's schools. This can be difficult when all we have are traditional desks and seats. Variable seating provides students with a choice in where they learn. Students feel empowered by choice and this can help with student engagement and participation in learning. Variable seating also provides students with the ability to move throughout the day, they are not restricted to a desk and chair. This movement is beneficial to their physical health as well as their ability to concentrate and learn.
