I just recently learned that I will be having up to 30 new TK and Kindergarten students arrive to my class on July 22nd. My current carpet only fits 24 students, and is frayed. So not only will each of my new students not have their own space to learn, but the frays are a real safety concern with 4-6 year old. With this carpet each student will feel a sense of ownership in our classroom and they will have their own space to learn and grow. Additionally, the calming colors will transform our overly dull classroom into a sanctuary where students can feel comfortable exploring. As a Title I school, many of our furniture, supplies and other carpets are worn out and broken. This project will give my students a functional, up-to-date and exciting place to learn.
