My project is to be able to provide the student body with the ability to have clean clothes when that option may not be available to them anywhere else. Having a functioning laundry room in the nurse's office will also offer the ability to teach students how to properly wash and dry their own, providing life skills for the future. Cleaner clothes will improve self-esteem as well as decrease embarrassment among the student's peers. Thus improving attendance and increasing grades across all grade levels affected. My hope is that by having this available we can improve the health and hygiene of those students in need, in a judgement free zone.
