These resources not only help students grow as artists but also help their language art skills. They also introduce areas of science in art, colaborative arts in communities and schools today, and historical and contemporary artists they may have seen before but have not researched. The resources encourage exploration by offering additional links that can be used for additional research. This resources helps me, as a teacher, by knowing that lesson plans that are included with the publication can be used, meet state and national standards. I am given detailed, colorful posters as resources as well as links to museum resources for projects. I can use these with my smart board to give accurate and detailed information about projects we are trying to produce. This resource should add to the excitement of learning art by a new subject that might be coming with new Scholastic Fridays publications. This day will be designated to reading and researching of topics in this publication.
