The NEEDS are great in a Title I school. The challenges are present and the obstacles can be numerous, but all students deserve the best opportunity to achieve at the highest level. These tools and supplies will allow me to engage my students in Math and Science. My plans for the school year include learning how humans as consumers, impact the health of our earth. We will study how plastics impact different habitats and will be closely researching and tracking sea turtles in an effort to understand water as a natural resource, that is renewable but not infinite. We will be creating a school wide public service announcement video and implementing a program that recycles plastics with a focus on the use of plastic straws in our school and community and how they impact marine life. My class will have the opportunity to learn about and classify animals with real life experiences with several classroom pets like mystery snails, fish and reptiles. They will learn about how to care for animals in their homes, community and the wild. These donations will help me ensure that scholars can flexibly think about numbers and solve multistep math problems with the goal of making real life connections to math in their lives and potential careers. Please support my classroom and help me teach my students that their education and connection with each other is priceless!
