New books will help my students go on many adventures without having to leave the classroom. In my classroom, I have a lot of students who don’t like to read or see reading as a punishment, but having the right books helps reluctant readers be more motivated to engage in reading. I am always looking for new and exciting books to put into the hands of my students. I always have students begging for extra reading time, therefore I always try to rotate out all of the high interest books. The books I have selected will hopefully change the types of books that my students gravitate towards. Although I did ask them what books they would like to see in my library, I also slid a few other titles in the mix! With these books students will be able to continue independent reading time by having many options available at their fingertips.
