Our school is an overflow school and an E.L.D. Center (English Language Development) for our district. A third of our students have limited English. The rest are mostly bilingual, and some even know more than two languages. We are also an overflow school, which means we get all the students new to the district. When a space opens up at their neighborhood schools, the kids are transferred. We then get the next new kid. Just last Monday, we had 8 new students. In my class alone, we have lost and gained a new student about every 6 weeks. Truly, my students are awesome and eager to help the new ones, but there are so many little details. My students are very excited to make a movie about our school because they see it as a something that would benefit everyone.
