Many of our students want to learn the art of photography. Our kids cannot take pictures at this time because we don't have cameras available. In class the cameras will provide the opportunity for the kids to learn photography skills within the classroom comfortably. This helps them with the basic idea of photography concepts and it also helps to build the self-esteem that they need to be creative and successful. Cameras are great for the kids because they can practice on their own, get comfortable and then experiment with picture taking in order to grow in their photography skills. As they progress, they will be able to do team and independent work to build capture images and document events within the school year. We will be able to take these all year and plug them into a slideshow to document the year for the entire school. The cameras will play many roles in the school for the students. First and foremost, it will give all students a chance to take pictures in their own comfort zone. This will enhance the environment not only in the classroom, but in the school as well.
