Our resource room lacks interesting, new fiction books that students can enjoy in Guided Reading. Students should learn to love reading and relate to the stories. I hope to build my classroom library for years to come and come up with comprehensive novel studies and units that target and assess our standards. The novels I chose all portray a deeper theme and meaning that students can relate to personally. I hope to engage students in rigorous activities as well as teach them deeper life lessons through the novels I chose. I hope that through these novels, my students will develop a love for reading that will stay with them forever.

About my class
