One of the challenges of teaching science is making sure students have access to the content at a variety of reading levels. Many students love the curiosity science sparks, but have trouble getting through dry and difficult reading material. If we had a set of vibrantly colored magazines with articles at varied reading levels, it would help me to provide multiple opportunities for learning. Students could get background information on many topics, cite evidence when writing about topics, and, best of all, develop their natural curiosity for science. Science is such a cutting edge subject. The world around us is changing every day. Magazines would provide current and meaningful articles in a format that students enjoy.
