The district I work in requires the students to have one hour of literacy labs daily. However, they do not provide the materials needed for the students to have a sense of wonder and excitement. There are four labs during this time period and the district does not supply materials to adequately provide the students with materials to create a sense of wonder and excitement. The Lego sceneries set, community blocks, log builders and plastixs will be used in the engineering lab so the students can build models of what they are learning. These materials will add to the current materials I already have and give the students more choices. I will use the Imagination design builders in the create lab so I have enough materials for 10-12 students to participate in the activity. The pencils will be used in the create and research labs because we usually run out of pencils by April.
