My students are a diverse group of active learners. They benefit from having choice in the classroom. They love choosing where to sit, how to sit, and who they sit with. These flexible seating pieces of furniture help my children make choices for themselves and take charge of their own learning. Many of my students are extremely active! They need to move, wiggle, and change where they sit often in order to be at their best. While traditional schools have rows of desks, I envision a open classroom where students feel free to chose how they learn at their very best!
