Welcome to my class at DB Elementary! This summer I will be continuing my professional education by attending a workshop on Singapore Math. Our school district has been using Singapore Math for many years, and teachers attend summer refresher workshops to keep up to date on this math method. The trainers at this workshop use a document during training and highly recommend using a document camera to teach Singapore math. Numerous case studies have shown the effectiveness and benefits of these document cameras in the classroom. They are versatile for all subject areas. One teacher is quoted in saying "The AVer Document Camera has been the best teaching tool I have ever used. I have no regrets about getting the document camera instead of an interactive whiteboard. The document camera has so many more functions and uses than I ever imagined. I continue to find new uses for it almost every day. My lessons and presentations are much more dynamic with the document camera. It makes teaching and learning more exciting. After reading research on the use of document cameras in the classroom, I anticipate using the document camera for more than just math; science, language arts, and classroom management. There are a world of ideas out there and I can't wait to have my students experience learning with the help of a document camera.
