Our school is a Title 1 school and it is located in a high poverty area. All students receive free breakfast and lunch. Many of the students are being raised by family members other than their parents because their parents work long hours or their parents are absent in their lives. More than 80% of the school population are students that come from homes that fall below the poverty line and unfortunately, they don't have access to technology outside of school. My students are eager and ready to learn! Having a Surface and the corresponding tools will help bring learning to life! I will be able to show real videos, photos as well as STEM concepts to help build my student's technology development. Visual aids will add reality and clarity. It will help to bring the real world into the classroom. The Surface Go will also give me the opportunity to make learning "on the go."
