My students often lack basic supplies like pens and paper. These will allow me to help my students succeed without needing to worry about their ability to afford supplies. Removing that burden will allow them to focus on the important things like learning. No student should have to worry about coming to school unprepared because they can't afford the supplies. All the supplies will be useful to my students, especially the binders and pencil pockets which will stay in the classroom unless they need to take it home for homework. This allows the students to keep their notes, pens, and pencils in the classroom so they don't have to return to their locker missing out on important class time. The colored pencils will allow my students to complete project based assignments which will let them immerse themselves in history beyond the black and white of a textbook.
