Red Hill has the opportunity to build an outdoor classroom to access an area along a stream. What do all students want? More outdoor time! This "classroom" will provide hands-on experience for watershed lessons, ecology, biotic and abiotic lessons. Currently students are measuring area and perimeter of the classroom as a math lesson and writing a Public Service Announcement in the process as an ELA opinion writing lesson. We are asking for assistance for materials for an outdoor classroom set along a creek. We need ground cover for a path to allow access for all students, sunshades to provide some protection from the elements, and funding for plants for the area. In addition, the school is asking for volunteers from our local community to help the project come together. The goal of the classroom is to provide hands-on learning opportunities for students outside the traditional classroom environment. Thanks!
