At times, we all need to get away from it all! A child with significant sensory needs, struggles with this feeling many times throughout the school day. A "Komfy-Korner" can help a child to escape the sensory stimulation and regulate their bodies for a better learning experience. When a child is overwhelmed by trying to process everything that their sensory system brings into the body, it can be impossible to learn. I would like to provide them with an area within the classroom to help reorganize their small bodies and refocus on learning. The materials I have selected will provide them with this area and in return they will be more readily available to complete classroom activities.
