Not all students learn to read the same. High frequency words can be extremely difficult for some students to master yet these are the words we see most often in texts. Words such as "and, the, but, want..." can cause many students to stumble. Students need to read high frequency words quickly and without sounding them out (by sight) to leave their brain freer to comprehend what they are reading and sound out larger words. SnapWords presents high frequency words in a visual and kinetic way to give students an opportunity to learn them in a different way. I would love to help my students who struggle with high frequency words learn them in a SNAP.
