Students need scientific calculators in Chemistry class to help them reach their maximum potential. While a scientific calculator is a "required" item on the school supply list for the class, several, if not most, students come unprepared without the tool for a variety of reasons, including the inability to afford one. By providing these tools for students, the lack of resources is minimized, helping to remove a barrier to individual students' successes. These calculators are the "school bus yellow," making them easy to spot and less likely to be removed from the classroom without notice. This will help keep the items in the classroom so that all students throughout the day are able to use the materials.
