Flexible seating is the new and upcoming way to arrange a classroom. It creates an enriched learning environment for students by giving them options for their seating choices. It allows the student to have some control over something in their lives and how they learn, where they may not normally have that choice.
The idea for my new classroom layout is to reflect an environment that is homey, friendly, and inviting to everyone that enters. I truly feel that having a classroom that children want to be in allows them to be more relaxed and willing to learn. My hope is to help better prepare them for independent growth in learning and social aspects in their lives, while providing a loving and safe place for them to do so.
This flexible seating will also allow for great collaboration opportunities, group interactions, and learning. Students thrive the best when they enjoy and look forward to school. They must also feel safe and loved, this seating arrangement will amplify that feeling for my students and my classroom. Help me give my students flexible seating for the classroom. These items will create a loving enriched learning environment that the children will want to be in, by giving students the option to decide for themselves where they will learn best each day!
